The Cinsa Consortium

Interuniversity National Consortium for Environmental Sciences (CINSA) promotes and coordinates research and scientific activities in the field of Environmental Sciences within the member Universities.

The Consortium has its legal head office in Venice, its operative headquarters in Parma and separate research branches at partner Universities. CINSA is a non-profit research organisation supervised by the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR).

Our services
Research and development
CINSA’s aim is to promote and coordinate scientific activities in the field of environmental sciences on a national level by fostering collaboration between universities, research organisations and companies, also by promoting participation in international projects. CINSA can make available equipment, laboratories and centres at the member universities. It carries out commissioned studies and research and provides advice and support.
Training
CINSA promotes and encourages the training of experts in environmental science applications. It participates in teaching activities in collaboration with consortium universities and promotes research transfer initiatives to stakeholders also by organising master’s degrees and courses on request.
Disclosure
CINSA promotes the organisation of scientific-cultural events in the field of environmental science and supports any other action aimed at producing awareness of the role of research in environmental protection. CINSA collaborates with schools of all levels for activities with students.

The National Inter-University Consortium for Environmental Sciences (CINSA) was established in 1996 out of the desire to create an organisation capable of responding to the most advanced requirements of methodological and interdisciplinary study of the environmental system. Since 1999, CINSA has been the only Consortium officially recognised by the Ministry of Universities and Research to deal specifically with Environmental Sciences.
